Together Is How We Grow
At Eastview, we believe growth happens best together. Groups are where you build real friendships, dig into God’s Word, and find people who show up for you in every season, because faith was never meant to be lived alone. The best way to start is Rooted, our front door into community and the first step we hope everyone takes.
The best part is the people.
Start with Rooted
Rooted is the front door to community at Eastview. It’s a shared experience with a group of people who start out as strangers and end up knowing your story. Together you’ll dig into who God is, who you are, and what it looks like to actually follow Jesus in everyday life. It’s where most of our groups begin, and it’s the best first step we know of.
Find Your People
If you’ve been through Rooted before, or you’re ready to step into community for a new season, we’ll help you find a group that fits where you are.
Small Group FAQs
How do I get started?
The best first step is Rooted. It’s a shared experience where a group starts together, gets honest with each other, and builds the kind of friendships that stick. Most of our groups begin here, and it’s what we hope for whenever it’s possible. If you’ve already been through Rooted, or it’s not the right fit for your season, that’s okay too. We’ll still help you find your people.
What happens at a group?
A lot, but in two words: “life change” happens. You’ll share real life, open up God’s Word together, pray for each other, and build real friendship along the way. It’s honest conversation, not a lecture.
How do groups work?
However fits your life. Groups meet just about anytime and anywhere, in homes, around town, online, or on either campus, and each one sets its own rhythm. They come in all sizes too: some three or four people, some eight to fourteen, some twenty or more. Different shapes, same purpose, helping you grow.
How long are groups together? Can I leave?
Some groups stay together for a season, others for years. What matters most is that every group has a clear purpose and learns to live it out, because purpose is what keeps a group healthy and growing. We’ll ask you to commit for as long as your group is together, invest in the people, and lean into what your group is about. You’re never locked in, though. When life shifts, a move, a new season, a chance to help start a new group, we’ll walk with you to finish well and step into what’s next.
What if I don't know a lot about the Bible?
It’s okay. Our groups are full of people from every walk of life, and nobody’s keeping score on how much Bible you know. That’s one of the reasons we point people to Rooted first. It’s built for exactly this, a place to start wherever you are and learn together as you go.
What can I do with my kids?
There are a couple of options! Childcare looks a little different from group to group. Some groups bring in a babysitter for the home they meet in, and others arrange childcare on their own. Whatever your situation, we’ll help you find something that works.
I have more questions. Who can I talk to?
We’d love to talk with you! Reach out and a real person will help you find your next step and answer anything on your mind. Email us at [email protected].
